ROMWE Limited Dress: Nude Colored Slip with a Black colored Lace Pattern overlay (Women’s V neck & Short Cap sleeve) #Review #Romwe

DSC_1219

I am always looking for affordable fashion options and especially with designs that are hot now and won’t be so hot later. Most times I make purchases with the idea I want the items to last, so I opt for classical styles and I must admit, my wardrobe starts to look kind of boring. Everything starts looking alike and the difference may be same cuts but in different colors or patterns.

In comes Romwe, and they distribute both via their website and on Amazon. Buying clothes on-line can be iffy at times. You just don’t know how sizing runs and certain production lines may run true to fit, while then you get a huge swing where items start then running large. Being that I was new to Romwe, I decided to play it safe and ordered one size up. Romwe differs where they list how their sizes run for each item, but I did notice where I may be a small in one version/style, I could easily jump to a medium in another style. Like with every female we run into issues where some shirts you just don’t want to pop out of!

Size Chart (as listed on Amazon):

  • XS: Shoulder:14.0 inch, Bust:33.3, Waist Size:26.0 inch, Length:32.8 inch, Sleeve Length:2.6 inch
  • S: Shoulder:14.4 inch, Bust:34.8 inch, Waist Size:27.6 inch, Length:33.1 inch, Sleeve Length:3.0 inch
  • M: Shoulder:14.8 inch, Bust:36.4 inch, Waist Size:29.1 inch, Length:33.5 inch, Sleeve Length:3.3 inch
  • L: Shoulder:15.2 inch, Bust:38.0 inch, Waist Size:30.7 inch, Length:33.9 inch, Sleeve Length:3.7 inch

Retail Price Point: On Amazon, the dress retails for $22.32 and ships free if you are a Prime member.  This means returns/exchanges are also free for Prime members!

I selected two items to review and I will first start with the dress I ordered. Being that I have Prime on Amazon, I did not experience a delay in delivery. All items were in stock and shipped rather quickly. The dress arrives and the pattern matches the one that is pictured, with a nude colored slip and a black colored lace pattern, which overlays nicely over the slip. I am a size 33 to 34 in the chest/breast area but a C cup, so I ordered a Medium size in this version. Waist is stated as a 29 (I’m a 27-28) and I found it rather larger than stated, closer to a 31. The stomach area (hips) is large again, like it bunches a bit due to the sewing detail Romwe added. When you look at the dress on-line, you see those pleats on the bottom of the dress? Well, the seamstress that did the dress sort of bunched the material a bit so above the pleats, I have two small bunches of fabric that causes that extra room. Not a big deal because it creates comfort but I would have liked a more fitting (tighter/neater) when it comes to the sewing. I think too much fabric was left to create the pleats but thing created extra tummy room too.  The dress flairs out towards the bottom if you move (just like with the model pictured) and because I’m a short girl, my dress is not as short as it is on the model but again, it adds to the comfort level. So, my little black dress is not as little as I wanted it to be but then again, I was playing it safe and ordered a size up. The fabric has no odd chemical order and smells almost freshly laundered, so I appreciated that. The fabric is not scratchy and I found zero snags. Now, you recall how I mentioned bunching of fabric? Well, the same bunching happened to my zipper, which is located on the side of the dress to give the article a nicer flow in pattern when worn. My zipper has a hiccup 3/4 up and thankfully because the dress is roomy, I can easily insert my index finger while my Husband takes the zipper the other 1/4 up. My finger serves as a smooth bridge, so the zipper can travel over, negating the bunching of fabric.  The bunch thankfully can not be seen when worn (even if I lift my arms) because the lace on top helps mask the beige fabric underneath, so the knot of material is undetectable. I look at everything above and weigh in on the price point. It’s fair for a dress of this quality and most importantly, this style. I have not washed mine yet and will be doing so on extra gentle and with Woolite for dark. I can see as long as I treat the dress nicely, the dress should last me the amount of wears I desire to have out of it. If when the zipper no longer can make the jump over the fabric that gathered, by then an almost $25 investment would have yielded a bargain on a really pretty style of dress. It’s comfortable, has a sexy flair and it’s great for a little date night! It looks like it cost more than what it is priced at so this is a win-win in my book. Perfect!

Eu Natural: Caffeine with L-Theanine, Energy Support & Mental Focus; 60 capsules Review #Caffeine

IMAG3063

Sometimes a cup of coffee or tea is the last thing I want in the morning and energy drinks are usually full of sugars, so I opt in taking Caffeine pills. A half pill to start the day is what I usually need and the other half I take in the afternoon to get that “umph” to finish the day with completed tasks. I thought all Caffeine pills were the same and most times, I just looked at contents and where the caffeine was derived from, and then at pill count. I later realized that even though caffeine is a simple drug, it’s a supplement, so let the games begin! Some brands gave me no energy, while others had me buzzing around like a Humming Bird even if both bottles stated the same milligrams. It made no sense other than what I was taking was not always what was really what I was getting and disclosed. I now even pick my manufactures carefully to simply purchase caffeine pills, and so should you.

Eu Natural provides the consumer with a product that not only provides you caffeine, but also has L-Theanine.

What is L-Theanine-
The ingredient is usually added to caffeine to aid with jitters, shakes, and more so to curb the not so great effects we sometimes experience. It helps give caffeine a boost, where you also feel more alert and perform faster. L-Theanine, does not effect the potency by diminishing it’s effectiveness either, it just makes sure you get the benefits faster.  It’s just a add-on ingredient that I don’t see on many caffeine bottles and I have only taken the supplement in conjunction in the past. Theanine is a natural ingredient found in many foods, drinks, and teas. Think of Green Tea when it comes to this ingredient, and small clinical studies have shown that it helps by reducing anxiety and so forth, so you can see why it’s beneficial to have this with caffeine intake.

Retail Price Point: $19.95 for a bottle that has a 60-Capsule count.

IMAG3064

Directions: You can take one capsule up to 4 times a day, and it’s suggested each capsule be ingested with 8-ounces of water.

IMAG3065

Ingredients (as listed on the site): Caffeine (Pharmaceutical-grade), L-Theanine (Pharmaceutical-grade)

IMAG3067

Verdict:
I took one capsule in the day and one in the afternoon, as I usually buy tablets and this being a capsule, it meant I could not cut the pill in half. I did get energy and the claims of staying alert and focused, minus the nervous twitch is true. The Humming Bird in me was not flying off the walls and I was able to think and function clearly. I got through my tasks quickly and never had a moment where I felt a drop in dosage and was just hit with tiredness. I was awake when I needed to be and the capsules from Eu Natural did not interfere when it came to sleep and/or downtime. I could control the dosage and not as finely as with a tablet, but enough that I did not feel I was taking more caffeine than needed. My only negative is the price point. It’s high and really up there for the simple ingredients. I like simple supplements and especially when I just want caffeine, however if you take 2 pills a day, this bottle lasts you a month. Take more or the maximum of four pills, and you are looking at spending $20 for a two-week to three-week supply. Ouch! I can see adding Eu Natural into my supplement routine for days the jitters matter but not for everyday consumption. I don’t want to spend that much on what really breaks down to one simple supplement and I myself prefer purchasing L-Theanine separately because I don’t mind taking two pills, versus one when it comes to saving some funds.   If you want an all-in-one, then Eu Naturals is for you!

Body Merry: Retinol Surge Moisturizer #Review #BodyMerry

IMAG2686

Body Merry has been a guest over here in the past and always welcomed! Like you don’t need to call before you arrive type of guest 🙂 and it’s because I really enjoy using their products. They work and who doesn’t like using stuff that shows results because my beauty regimen is not just for fun……I’m sort of on the run from the tick-tock clock of time. I enjoy the memories with people and experiences, just don’t wrinkle me!

IMAG2686

I was sent Body Merry’s Retinol Surge Moisturizer. It’s an all-in-one product that can be used by itself as a last layer application or you can amp your routine by using a serum and then a thin layer of Body Merry’s Surge Moisturizer. The product offers:

  • 2.5% Retinol in a cream form
  • Hyaluronic Acid
  • Vitamin E
  • Vitamin B5
  • Green Tea

Ingredients (as listed on website): Organic Aloe Vera, Organic Sunflower Oil, Palm Oil, Pentylene Glycol, Phospholipids, Retinol, Polysorbate 20, Potassium Phosphate, Tocopheryl (Vitamin E), Plant Derived Hyaluronic Acid, Glyceryl Stearate, Cetyl Alcohol, Stearic Acid, Kosher Vegetable Glycerin, Organic Jojoba Oil, Wildcrafted Green Tea, Wildcrafted Propolis, Shea Butter, Panthenol (Vitamin B5), Phenoxyethanol, Ethylhexyl Glycerin, Xanthan Gum, Citric Acid.

IMAG2688

The moisturizer really covers everything from giving you an instant boost from the green tea, uses Aloe Vera versus water as it’s base and you have nourishing agents like Shea Butter, Jojoba oil and Vitamin E. Body Merry goes one step further by making sure their Hyaluronic acid is derived from plants and let us not forget the major player here, the 2.5% percentage of retinol. The product is all packed in a pump action bottle, so no air, light or even bacteria can easily come in contact. That to me is insurance on your purchase!

IMAG2687

Application:
A one pump serving was enough for me to cover the areas I wanted to treat on my face because I have combination skin and that means some areas get more moisturizer than others. I then had enough to treat my neck and chest area because people tend to over focus on the face when the rest of your body can also show aging. I applied the product under make-up and never had issues of my foundation not looking right hours later or even problems with blending. The acids in the moisturizer keep everything in check. Make sure to use SPF (even though you should already be) because retinol products may make skin sensitive to the sun, plus why damage the skin you are trying to take care of.

Retail Price Point: $23.49 via Amazon or $24.99 via their website for a generous 3.4 fluid ounce bottle.

Verdict:
Like with all of Body Merry’s products so far, I am happy with the results and the price point. I got tired of OTC products not declaring the percentage of retinol in their products and just taking their word that there was even a significant amount to make a difference. I might as well squeeze a bottle down the sink if it’s not going to work! With Body Merry products, everything is forthcoming and no proprietary blends to hide behind. Body Merry tells you what you are getting, how it’s going to work and what to expect, plus goes beyond and adds a satisfaction guarantee. No hassles and I like exchanges like that because the beauty world should not be complicated. We all want to look our best, we all can’t afford and/or don’t want to undergo surgery, so we just want stuff that works. Body Merry’s stuff works and that is something I (and my skin) truly appreciates.

ISA Professional:100% USDA Organic (EVAO) Argan Cold Pressed Oil #ISAprofessional

IMAG2600

I have reviewed several beauty related products from hair to skin items, which are infused with Argan oil. I am definitely a fan! I have also started to alternate from Coconut oil, Emu oil, and Argan oil when it comes to applying to my lashes and hair. I figure each oil has it’s own benefits and like myself, I don’t like to eat the same thing everyday, so why not feed my hair, skin and nails a different meal too. I call it having a balanced diet!

To control the oil and added ingredients, I have not started to just seek oils that can be purchased as-is, with no additions. It’s the best way to make sure I am getting what I seek and ISA Professional provides you with 100% Argan oil.

What does ISA Professional’s Extra Virgin Argan oil (EVAO) offer:

  • The oil is cold pressed to insure none of the benefits of the Argan tree kernel are lost or changed by a heat process.
  • ISA goes further by providing a 100% USDA Organic product. No chemicals or pesticides that add undesired substances. You have what I call “clean farming” when it comes to the care of the trees and what they produce.
  • You get an oil that is extra virgin, meaning that you get the press that contains the best of what the oil has to offer.
  • ISA Professional also participates in Fair Trade practices. The Argan oil comes from a co-op of Berber women from Morocco.

IMAG2601

What to Expect:
You can read on-line about all the vitamins and benefits, to even products I have reviewed in the past that contain the oil. Knowledge is great but it’s hard to know if an oil will work for you with how congested the beauty oil world has become. Everyone is fighting to make you shiny! Not all oils are equal and not all oils will perform well, with some even bringing negative factors that may not outweigh the benefits. You can have soft skin but some oils cause blemishes and clog pores, so pimples are never a plus no matter how smooth my skin may look. I have found that Argan oil as long as it’s the real thing like what you get from ISA Proffesional, does not cause these issues. The oil replenishes your skin’s cells with really little to no havoc, and this may be because so little is needed to reap the benefits and also achieve even coverage. You can use it as it comes and it really does feed your skin and leaves a nice layer of protection that slowly releases……almost like a time release capsule! I get breakouts from time to time and especially from fragrances, but never from Argan oil and this is even where you may be experiencing such issues like the chest, chin, t-zone, or anywhere. Don’t confuse being kind and light to not being strong (powerful) because Argan oil has given me the softest feet that need less maintenance but are already sandal ready! Your skin will improve and it’s economical, plus no gel caps to mess with like with Vitamin E oil that never gave me the Argan oil results.

IMAG2602

ISA Professional’s EVAO oil is supreme in quality and not price with a 2 fluid ounce bottle retailing at: $28.50 via their website or on Amazon.

Uses:
I started using it on my feet and by day three, I had soft feet but by week one, I had nourished my feet (and toe nails) enough that they fooled you into thinking I used lotions on them everyday for years. My toe nails have zero polish but look beautiful, so it’s a true “nude” without the labor of polishing.  My feet’s skin color improved because the skin’s texture now matches in softness from top to bottom. I then started adding three drops while my hair is wet and once I blow-dry, I have a healthy shine and again a softness that only comes from Argan oil. My hair also builds less static because it’s not as dry to be able to create it. Forget cuticle oils when you can just add a few drops to your nails and then a couple more to punch up any hand lotion you have.

Simple to use and simple to incorporate into anyone’s beauty routine that I encourage you to try out the EVAO oil by ISA Professional:

Amazon Kindle Fire HD6 Review

kindle-fire

I am no stranger to tech. Even though it isn’t featured much on my blog, tech tools have been invaluable to me in almost every facet of what you see on here. So when I was offered a chance to review an Amazon Fire HD6 tablet from Third Voice Marketing, I said “You betcha!”. I’m always on the lookout for things to make my life a little easier, and a multi-tasker like a tablet is a sure fire way to get many things done, even on the go.

I may have been spoiled by hubby’s Nexus devices. While only sporting 7″ screens, they make the most of the real estate and have fabulous visuals and specs to boot. Sadly, the Fire HD6 fails to meet my lofty expectations. From the start, it feels thicker, clunkier and heavier (though it is lighter!) than the larger Nexus 7. The screen almost looks to be set further into the device. It’s resolution is 1280 x 800 (252ppi), which is a far cry from the 1920 x 1200 (323ppi) I’m used to. For a stand alone reader that would be fine. When a major selling point is full access to Amazon Prime features like the HD VOD service, that isn’t so fine. More on that later. Both sport Corning Gorilla Glass, both have front and rear cameras, both have quad-core processors,wi-fi, bluetooth and access to a wide array of apps. So, since one is more expensive than the other, you’d be inclined to forgive the screen issues and focus on what Amazon got right. Right?
IMAG2378
What amazon got right was the price. Sold for as low as $84 recently, you’d be hard-pressed to find a quad-core device of equal build quality for less. and with 1GB of RAM, it should handle light mobile games, email and some light web browsing with aplomb. But when you get to the software, that’s where things go off the rails for me. Amazon skinned over the lovely Android Kit Kat OS with their own proprietary features, much to the detriment of the user experience. Perhaps it’s because I’m used to a pure Android experience, but the devices seems seriously hamstrung by the Fire OS. You lose access to the Google Play store, you lose access to a synced Chrome (and all it’s bookmarks with no way to import them), you lose access to the device synchronicity you’re accustomed to, and you’re forced into an ecosystem that is geared towards Amazon consumption at the cost of being truly user friendly.
IMAG2379
I found myself constantly frustrated by trying to do what I’ve been doing with my Android devices for years now, only have to try to learn Amazon’s way of doing it instead. Yuck. What’s worse is when you get into heavy web browsing, downloading, or typing, you get so much lag you want to fling the thing into the nearest wall. All the ports are at the top of the device, the single rear speaker is absolutely awful, and the camera, at 2MP, is positively anemic. Though it does sport an HDR mode and a wide array of editing tools, the pictures will never be anything to write home about, especially in low ligIMAG2381ht conditions. The screen size is frustrating for me tapping and touching with normal sized fingers, and Hubby couldn’t do squat with his much bigger Hubby paws. Amazon does sport it’s own app store, but more than a few of the versions of the apps available, while seemingly identical to their Google App and Apple App Store cousins, are usually a few versions behind. Because, let’s face it, there are two big dogsIMAG2382 on the app block, and it doesn’t make sense to spend a bundle on development for the two little dogs with very little market penetration, Amazon and Windows. Amazon has also locked the bootloader, which means no third party development is available, which is another huge upside for normal Android devices, and a liability for Kindles.
I like having access to my Amazon Prime benefits. I like being able to stream my free video and audio benefits seamIMAG2380lessly. I like the Kindle features that go above and beyond the Kindle apps available for all my other devices. I like that it is small enough to drop in my purse and not know it’s there. It seems to be very sturdily built with unobtrusive buttons that don’t get hit accidentally. And I like the price. Aside from that, there is also plenty to make me say that I doubt I’d buy a Kindle on my own any time soon. The proprietary, frustrating nature of the OS. The ads on the lock screen. The focus on the “Amazon experience” and not the customer experience. The lack of synchronicity. The screen. And some personal experience. The memory on my first device was corrupted, and the charging port was borked. Amazon sent a replacement next-day air. But after several rounds with their “customer service” chat to figure out how to connect the device to my TV for a true HD video experience (6 different chats got me 6 different failed methods), I eventually gave up and resigned myself to a 6″ sub-HD screen for the foreseeable future. I also don’t know how I only have 3.5 GB of space on a 8GB device when it arrives. Too small to download a movie, and very little space for apps, media, or really, anything.
IMAG2383
I’ve used Samsung Galaxy Devices, LG devices, Asus devices, and Nexus devices. Kindle is dead last in my user experience.I wanted to like my Kindle. I wanted one for some time. Amazon shot for the moon with their Kindle devices and instead, for me, shot themselves in the foot. Perhaps I expected too much. As I stated, for a reader, it’s awesome. If you don’t mind the screen or speaker, the access to Amazon’s Instant Video and Music is phenomenal. And Amazon gives a you a 30-day, 100% satisfaction guarantee, but return shipping is at your cost. If it’s for youngsters, you have a relatively well built, relatively inexpensive device that they can stream the occasional video, play a few games, and read a few books. For a grown up, you’re better off buying a grown up device.

Xtava: ALLURE 2200W Tourmaline Ionic Ceramic Professional Hair Dryer #Review #HairDryer

IMAG2319

Last week, I shared the Xtava Professional 5-in-1 Curling Iron and this week I’m sharing another one of Xtava’s products, the Allure Hair dryer. You will notice if you visit Xtava’s website, their hair dryer line is really what put the company on the map and this one is no different!

The Allure hair dryer is light in weight but powerful. You have 2200 watts that delivers air quickly in both heat and cold options. Power does not mean this blow dryer will not be kind or gentle to your hair either. The Allure hair dryer uses Tourmaline Ionic Ceramic technology, meaning you get even heat distribution and the ceramic is gentle on your hair’s cuticle. The negative ionic technology also prevents frizz to build-up, giving your final do’s that smooth and very desired shiny appearance. The above technology is also perfect with all the new hair oils hitting the market because you will achieve ultimate penetration meaning you will reap all the benefits quicker and better.

The Xtava Allure features:

  • A Ultra Lightweight housing for better control
  • Triple Baked Tourmaline Ionic Ceramic
  • 2 Speeds with 3 Heat setting modes.
  • A “Cold Burst” Button to aid with styling and setting
  • Concentrator Nozzle is also included
  • The “filter” easily removes on back for cleaning when needed
  • 1 year manufacture warranty
  • Card for up to 50% off (with code) to their site

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

I tried the Xtava Allure hair dryer for 1 week to get an idea how well it performs. I was surprised how quickly the element delivered heat and the burst of air is that perfect flow where you can still control your hair while it’s drying. My hair’s length is at my waist and I have a lot of hair, which is fine to medium in texture but dense when it comes to amount. I was happy at the 5 minutes mark with the quickness in drying time and softness in feel. By 7 minutes, my hair was dry and ready for me to style. I did not experience any frizz or static from the dryer, which is a major plus for me because “dandelion head” is yet a look to catch on!  On the second use, I used my typical leave-in mix of oils (2 drops of Argan oil with a small dollop of Living Proof Perfect Hair Day).  I achieved great results and my hair was super smooth in feel and it had that natural gloss you get when you get that perfect blow out.  I was satisfied with the performance of Xtava’s Allure hair dryer!  The box comes with everything you need from the attachment…..you just need a hair brush and you are set.

Retail Price Point: $34.00 via Amazon and $30 via Xtava’s website

IMAG2322

The only Con I could Find:
The “cool shot/burst” button pinches when you use it or if your finger tends to slide up. It also caught my hair once but I knew enough to not pull, so I did not lose any strands or caused any damage. The button is really not a button or a rocker switch, it’s made from the plastic frame the dryer is made from. A button shape is molded but the movement is made from the cut-out in the plastic’s frame. My only worries is durability with this button due to the fact plastic can only bend back and forth so often before breaking and/or cracking. Not a biggie but worth mentioning because it does pinch your skin when you use it and especially soft skin that you get from just showering or bathing. I don’t use this option often, so for me it would be insignificant when thinking of overall use or performance.

Quality Source Products: Red and Green colored Laser Beam Landscape Lighting #Review #LaserLights

I received this item from Quality Source Products and was amazed at the differences between the item pictured and the actual item delivered. In short, it is nothing at all like the item advertised. It has a defective attachment from the cord to th20150131_230115e power supply, which is neither weather proof and much less water proof, as stated in the manual.  It is clearly a hazard. It in fact does not meet up at all (connecting to complete a closed circuit) and would probably cause a short immediately. When I notified the company of this, their only response was that they are aware of the problem and have notified the factory. Aaand?! Well, sadly, “and” nothing. That’s it. No offer to replace, return or to refund. Thankfully this is an item the company discounted to me 100% and I didn’t pay a penny of the $199.99 (at the time) price tag.

Retail Price Point: $79.88 via Amazon as of 2/01/2015

It is a laser pointer. Dual color, broadcast over a wide area, but that’s all. There is no timer, no on/off switch. It is not “low voltage”. In fact, the AC adapter provided looks nothing like the power supply pictured. It gets hot quickly, has no way to control any functions, , no timer, and the only way to turn it off and on is to plug or unplug it, but I wouldn’t be too concerned about that because the first morning’s dew will probably short it out anyways since the power connection doesn’t fit properly and won’t lock.  The “instructions” provided make mention of a remote control, but I’m not sure if it works with one or if they sell one. And if they did sell one, if it would even be compatible.

The stake provided is cheap zinc, cast so shoddily it’s crooked. The housing has a gob of black silicone that I suppose is meant to keep out moisture/water, except, it’s pulled away from the housing by the cord, so it won’t.

This is the item as pictured on Amazon:

And this is what was delivered:

Not even close.

I appreciate the company sending me this item to test, and I usually try to grade these things generously because I’ve not paid for them, but this thing is defective, dangerous and clearly not made to last. There’s just so much wrong with it, I can’t recommend it. In fact, I think it and the company should be avoided. And to add insult to injury, they picture something that they clearly are not selling, and pricing it high for reasons I can’t discern. Purchase at your own risk.

Here’s a view of what the promised results:

916xTjIX19L._SL1500_

Here’s what we got:

DSCN4610

Again, not even close. What my pictures simply cannot convey is the overwhelming disorientation hundreds of little laser points cause. Spatial relationships are lost, and I almost felt dizzy. This is a bad product, with no practical applications and what’s worse is they clearly don’t care about quality of their product or the safety of their buyers. To add insult to (potential) injury, casting a laser pointer into the sky, as this is clearly designed to do, can be illegal in some places. I rarely have so many bad things to say about a product, but this company went above and beyond to do everything wrong here.

Xtava: Professional 5-in-1 Curling Iron Model No. XA0041 Review #Curler5in1

IMAG2276

With all the hair wands, curlers, rods, irons and so forth, I went from having my hair care items stored under the sink, then assigned a drawer to them, to later having a shelf in the closet dedicated to them. I’m about to move them into a box until Xtava’s 5-in-1 curling iron arrived!

IMAG2277

Xtava was the answer to my needs and their 5-in-1 professional curling iron does it all and then some. The best part, everything attaches to a singular wand. Think of it like having a drill and you would not buy a drill to go with just one drill bit…..that would be silly even though that is exactly what I did with my styling tools.

Xtava’s 5-in-1 curling iron, Model #XA0041 Features:

  • One wand
  • 5 different ceramic barrels
  • 1.25″/1.25″
  • 1″/1″
  • 0.7″/1″ (tapers down)
  • 0.75″/0.75″
  • 0.3″/0.75″ (tapers down)
  • Ceramic Tourmaline Technology
  • 360 degree Swivel cord, which is a comfortable 8 feet in length
  • Shut-off safety function in case you get busy and forget

The 5 barrels vary in sizes from the larger one producing nice bouncy waves, to the one after giving you tighter curls. You then move on down to smaller circumferences, which allows you to add detail, volume, and nothings gets missed. You can style any length of hair and Xtava’s 5-in-1 curling iron can handle it all. This is perfect for me because I like to change how I wear my hair and that means my needs change by my hair-do. I was able to comfortably curl my hair quickly and safely, with ease and produce a style that I was absolutely delighted with. I don’t have to make excuses now on why I don’t have time and/or want to curl my hair, because Xtava’s 5-in-1 curling iron could handle my very long strands with care and what was best…..super quick and this was for a full hair down style. I was done in 10 minutes!

The wands easily connect with a simple twist on and stay in place (locked) until you are finished. I found them easy to use and change while styling. The barrels of each attachment are smooth and flawless, so no hairs were pulled or yanked on while I used the product. The heat output is nice and has a maximum temperature of 410 degrees. The output seems to depend on the size of the attachment you use and the unit does not allow for heat temperature selection, so you go by “time curling” when styling. Once plugged in, you can begin styling in 2 minutes! Told you it was fast. Also, the unit comes with a 5-year warranty because Xtava stands by it’s products.

Final Verdict:
Probably one of my shortest verdict’s and to the point, I now have this one iron because it replaced and added more than what I had before. I just have a flat iron and my blow dryers, so back to the drawer where I can use them regularly they go! One very happy girl and this would make an perfect Valentine’s Day gift!

GreenForce Labs No2 PreWorkout Supplement Review #GreenForce

10301283_723874317708784_1011568735093048421_n

I’ve passed off workout supplements to hubby before, and this one is no different, but thankfully for him, this one was much better than the last. I don’t think he could take another horrible product to be my crash test dummy for. So, without further adieu, here’s hubby:

I’ve been using pre-workout supplements for years now. Some tasted good and did bupkis for me. Some tasted horrible, and did bupkis for me. Some tasted tolerable and worked out well. I have yet to find one that wasn’t overly sweet, loaded with sugars, artificial colors and flavors, or ingredients that I’d rather not ingest. I think, however, I’ve found one in Greenforce Labs No2 Preworkout that hits every metric I want.

Some background on what I consider essential preworkout primers. One is a bit of caffeine. It really helps get my butt up and moving. Next are some B-vitamins to keep it moving. A little arginine to keep the blood vessels wide open. Everything else for me is gravy. Greenforce No2 Preworkout ups the ante by adding l-ornithine and l-citrulline to combat muscle fatigue, and a new one for me, beet root extract, which aids in greater output, lowers fatigue, and possibly greater strength. Hey now, I’m in. And for me, this product worked. I matched my exercise output and results from my powdered product, at half the cost. I’m happy to alternate between this and my usual.

After making sure I cleared my system of my previous preworkout powder, which I consider seriously flawed due to being obnoxiously sweet. I can happily report that Greenforce No2 Preworkout has no added sugars, natural OR artificial, a major failing of almost every single preworkout on the market. You can easily tailor your intake to your needs or workout. With a 4 capsule serving, that’s simple to say “Okay, it’s late, I’m only taking half tonight”. Also, this is an all-natural product made in the USA, NFW and GMP certified. You get a month’s worth for $21.95 with 120 capsules per bottle.

Now for the best part. This product is 100% satisfaction guaranteed. From the first capsule to the last. Greenforce Labs stands behind this product, no questions, full stop. I had a minor issue with shipping and Greenforce Labs bent over backwards to make sure I was a satisfied customer. Above and beyond. Show me a supplement company that does that. I’ve had dealings with some of the biggest, and it’s all finger-pointing and no guarantees. I’m happy to report there none of that nonsense with Greenforce Labs. I’m happy to support them and look forward to see what they bring to market next.

Majestic Pure Oils: Fractionated Coconut Oil #Review #MajesticPure

IMAG2273 In the world of essential oils and the like, many companies like to make things fuzzy by using terms as, Pharmaceutical Grade and/or Therapeutic Grade. Who grades or certifies these oils? No one! You have to trust the supplier, unless you get into food grades where the FDA grades and then you hear terms as Virgin, Extra Virgin and the like. When it comes to real certifications, where you pay an agency for them to come in, inspect and grade your materials, you then see such certifications like the “Non-GMO” and Organic labels. It comes down to sources and knowing them, so I am a bit critical when it comes to oils and I always think about what will I be using them for and the price point attached.

Majestic Pure Oils, is a company that carries an array of products and especially oils. They have “Carrier” oils, which get used in addition to essential oils. Think of a candle and the wax is the carrier, where the fragrance would be the essential oil. I was sent a bottle of their, Fractionated Coconut Oil to try. IMAG2274 What exactly is Fractionated Coconut Oil- You know how we have Extra Virgin, Virgin and then just everyday olive oil…..this is the latter. This is the oil that has been broken down and stripped down of certain ingredients. Stripping down is a way to simplify what is needed and in this case simple has it’s uses. You are left with an oil that does not go rancid or oxidize because the fatty acids have been removed. The oil has zero odor and this is why it mixes so well with essential oils that do. The oil is colorless and this means no stains and also lighter in form, so you do not produce those oil marks you would usually suffer from if it came in contact with fabrics. It’s light texture usually means your skin will not be aggravated, suffer clogged pores and is easily absorbed.

I used Majestic Pure’s Fractionated Coconut oil, for a period of 2 weeks to see how well it performed. The bottle came sealed and nicely packaged, with an additional “pop-open” cap if needed. I first used the product as a carrier oil for an essential oil blend I purchased to give fragrance to the home. A simple bowl suspended by iron, with a tea candle below will slowly heat the oils to create fragrance. The Fractionated Coconut oil was slow to dissipate and this is why I enjoy this kind of oil.  The oil comes with a manufacture date label and states it has a 5-year shelf life.  This type of oil will not solidify like virgin quality oils and will remain in clear liquid form. Retail Price Point: $14.95 for 16 Fluid Ounce Bottle with 100% Satisfaction Guarantee I used the oil in a purely topical application and like I mentioned, I am picky about what I ingest. Majestic’s Pure Oil is 100% Natural and not like other companies that do not have a “web presence” . They have many ways to contact them, are located in my home state and let’s not forget they have very favorable feedback. I like that and want that from a company and especially when it comes to the world of oils. The oil left my skin nice and soft with no residue and even though I may be wearing a tank top and it’s Winter in California, no one wants oil spots on them no matter the season!
