Epica Hand Held Shower Head Review

After a string of so many big hits, it’s a shame to end the weekend on such a big miss. The Epica Handheld shower head promised many things, such as all metal construction, an extra-long hose, and a long life of use. It delivered on exactly none of those promises.

To start, the unit was very clearly chrome plated plastic, not the “All-Metal” construction promised. It’s a shame that something so simple as what it’s made of is being misrepresented. It also didn’t bode well for my experience with the shower head.

As for the “Extra Long Non-Kink Hose”, while it is longer than the standard  6 foot hose length, it’s not all that different than just about any hose with any handheld shower head. In fact, just a cursory glance over your Amazon search results will net you comparable hand held shower heads with 7′, 8′, or longer lengths!

Moving on, the quality control. I could not attach the unit to the water spigot, because it was not assembled correctly, and made installation impossible. So this might be a record short review, because I can only review the product based on looks, and while it looks nice, no one buys a shower head just to look at!

I contacted Epica, because after my wonderful experience with their folding step stool, I thought they’d make it right. Alas, I never heard back. Whether I just slipped through the cracks, I don’t know. I do know I can’t recommend this shower head at all.

Epica: Folding Step Stool #Review #StepStool12

Sometimes it’s the little things that make a difference and the Epica step stool is one of them. Let’s cut to the chase here, I’m short like I hit a growth spurt in Junior High and then never grew again. Great! I can wear heels and never worry about hitting my head over anything but if I need anything that is past my fingertips…..I’m the tippy-toe queen! When we had the kitchen redone, I love the spacious cabinets that use every inch of space to our benefit but then came the reality of having to drag out the step ladder out of the closet. My Husband sees the step ladder and I can always hear him seconds after, “what did you need to get”? As the ladder is now against a wall until I put it back.

In comes Epica’s Step Stool that not only is easily stored but does not harm my kitchen’s floor. Yes, the travertine floor is beautiful but I try not to ever walk on it with heels and I’m very careful about not dragging anything over it. This is why a chair can’t just be used like before! Epica’s step stool harms nothing, leaves no marks, and is perfectly balanced. I can safely reach what I need and I don’t miss that “hiccup” my step ladder found humorous to do when I had something fragile in my hands. You know what I’m talking about…..when the top step does that slight little pitch forward even though it’s feet never move. Funny ladders when you are height impaired is only funny for others that watch you! I also love the fact that there is no later when it comes to putting it away because it easily folds and into the kitchen’s cabinet it goes, and again with zero damage to the wood’s surface when stored. I don’t have to worry when I use it, stand on it and store it……who thought that would be so appreciated but I surely do appreciate the practicality of it and mostly, getting that thing I can’t reach that you know is giggling back where-ever it is 🙂
