Body Merry has been a guest over here in the past and always welcomed! Like you don’t need to call before you arrive type of guest 🙂 and it’s because I really enjoy using their products. They work and who doesn’t like using stuff that shows results because my beauty regimen is not just for fun……I’m sort of on the run from the tick-tock clock of time. I was sent Body Merry’s Retinol Surge Moisturizer. It’s an all-in-one product that can be used by itself as a last layer application or you can amp your routine by using a serum and then a thin layer of Body Merry’s Surge Moisturizer. The product offers:

• 2.5% Retinol in a cream form
• Hyaluronic Acid
• Vitamin E
• Vitamin B5
• Green Tea

The moisturizer really covers everything from giving you an instant boost from the green tea, uses Aloe Vera versus water as it’s base and you have nourishing agents like Shea Butter, Jojoba oil and Vitamin E. Body Merry goes one step further by making sure their Hyaluronic acid is derived from plants and let us not forget the major player here, the 2.5% percentage of retinol. The product is all packed in a pump action bottle, so no air, light or even bacteria can easily come in contact. That to me is insurance on your purchase!

Application:
A one pump serving was enough for me to cover the areas I wanted to treat on my face because I have combination skin and that means some areas get more moisturizer than others. I then had enough to treat my neck and chest area because people tend to over focus on the face when the rest of your body can also show aging. I applied the product under make-up and never had issues of my foundation not looking right hours later or even problems with blending. The acids in the moisturizer keep everything in check. Make sure to use SPF (even though you should already be) because retinol products may make skin sensitive to the sun, plus why damage the skin you are trying to take care of.

Verdict:
Like with all of Body Merry’s products so far, I am happy with the results and the price point. I got tired of OTC products not declaring the percentage of retinol in their products and just taking their word that there was even a significant amount to make a difference. I might as well squeeze a bottle down the sink if it’s not going to work! With Body Merry products, everything is forthcoming and no proprietary blends to hide behind. As you may know, I have been using Vitamin C serums and/or creams back to back. This allows me to know if a product is effective by easily seeing improvements (i.e. better potency), or a decline (i.e. not as advertised). Everyone is punching up the percentages and/or combination of vitamins to anti-aging ingredients, to distinguish themselves from the rest and Naturalico is no different.

I get hesitant when I see Vitamin E in a product and it’s not for disliking the vitamin’s benefits, but the oil can be clogging to my pores and cause a little bit of irritation. I did not experience any congested pores from Naturalico’s product. The dropper easily distributes the amount needed and like with ingredients that oxidize, a amber toned bottle was used to minimize and slow down the loss (in potency) that occurs. I used the product under my eyes and any areas of the skin that ranged from ultra-sensitive to just normal, never experienced peeling or redness……just that good old moisturizing punch you get from these ingredients.

Application- The product works best when applied twice a day, just like a facial skincare regimen. You apply the cream to skin that is clean and dry. You simply pump out the amount needed and apply to your thighs, stomach, legs, and anywhere you wish to address! What to Expect- Cellulite is one of those attributes you hear everyone has but that does not make you love it, or much less accept it. Application- I started by washing my face with mild soap or a simple face wash. I then applied a thin layer of mud mask. If applying on the face, avoid the eye and lip areas and any areas you may be sensitive to over-drying. I left the mask on for 20 minutes, however the directions state for 10 to 15 minutes until dry. I sometimes find some mud based masks work well after you shower, so I would apply and then use the water to wash my hands and just literally walk out with the mask on my face until 20 minutes would lapse. It’s my way of multi-tasking! You use warm water to gently remove the mask from the skin and I use wet paper towels for the edges I can’t get to (i.e. nose corners, along the hair line, ect.). This makes sure I do not stain any of our face towels. You then pat dry with a clean cloth and apply a good moisturizer to start nourishing the skin. I read on InstaNatural’s site, that they do not recommend using the Dead Sea Mud Mask more than once a week……..doesn’t get easier when it comes to skin care regimens!

What to Expect- To avoid over-dryness, I made sure to stick to the directions and used the mask once a week for a 4-week period (I’m still using it and now it’s a main stay and a must have). The first time after leaving the Dead Sea Mud Mask for 20 minutes, I was left with a nice clean surface that was not over dry but had a nice clean sheen. I applied their retinol based moisturizer soon after to make sure I was nourishing my skin’s surface. As the days passed, I noticed my skin continuing to purge (i.e. clogged pores) and my pores looked and felt less (could not feel a bump) congested. On the second week of application, the main difference was that I did not experience any break-outs, which is a little odd for me. I always have a small pimple or little blackhead that is trying to become more than what it really is but I admit that I pick at them, so they get angry with me sometimes :). I had none and no irritations. It was easy to make this mud mask part of my “Sunday Face Clean” day. It’s the day that I try to make up for the week that I did not always have time to wash or primp my face like I wanted to. Pimples, acne, and any blackheads are a thing of the past and so little is needed to cover the surface of your skin. I also used it on my chest on a small blackhead that was indecisive about ruining my intro into 2015! Application- Due to how well the Advanced Action Retinol Moisturizer distributes, a little goes a long way. You use a small amount and gently distribute with your finger-tips using a circular motion. Apply to face and neck area and allow the product to be absorbed in full. I used the moisturizer following up any serums or thinner like products I applied before. Can be used under cosmetics and if you have sensitive skin, I would only use it at night. Due to the retinol in the product at a generous 2.5%, also remember to use sunscreen to avoid irritation. It’s something you should already be doing but sometimes we think we can skip it in the Winter months (major no-no).

What to Expect- I tested the product for 2 weeks. I like that the moisturizer comes in a pump to avoid air diminishing the quality of the retinol and is also not see through. Easy to pump out and apply. The product does deliver moisture and I did not experience any adverse reactions. The Advanced Action Retinol Moisturizer kept my fine lines from deepening and I experienced within a week’s time, a firmer texture to my skin and mostly in the neck and chin area. Due to how little I need to use and how well the product worked, this is a must buy because I did price comparing and could not find such a healthy mix of ingredients in one product for the price point that InstaNatural offers. Most product do not even declare retinol percentages and I was using a 1% strength prior to trying this moisturizer. I experienced slight redness that went away over night, so I can state that the product does at least carry a higher strength than the former product I was using.  With continued use, I do expect to use this moisturizer as a prevention (i.e. to welcoming fine lines and the sort) due to how satisfied I am with the results.

I have been wanting to incorporate Vitamin C into my skin care regimen after doing some research.  In the following weeks, I will be reviewing products that will focus around brands that deliver to your skin the maximum Vitamin C and hoping to see positive results. My first to test and review is by a brand named Sano Naturals.  I liked from the get-go that they back-up their beauty products.  If you are not 100% satisfied with your purchase and skin care experience, they will refund your entire purchase price, no questions asked.  They also include a bonus item with purchase and that is always a positive!

 

Sano Vitamin C Serum+:

On the bottle it states the product is of high potency and a Daily Skin Revitalizer. The bottle is a beautiful cobalt blue in color and the dark hue aids with preserving the product, which is rated at 20% concentration. I next looked at the ingredient list and you have an Organic Herbal Infusion, Aloe, and then Vitamin C. So far I am happy that water is not the delivery agent and other good quality binding ingredients were used along with the vitamin. The list goes on but everything is recognizable and friendly, not something I am use to in the “beauty world”. You get Hyaluronic Acid, which helps with inflammation (puffiness) and dry skin. It’s an ingredient you see for treating Eczema. Sano also uses kosher Vegetable Glycerin to Organic Jojoba oil. Jojoba has many good properties from being used as a fungicide and preventing mildew growth, to being able to deliver moisture without leaving an oily residue.

Results-

Even though most studies for Vitamin C ranged from a month to 12 weeks, I used the product for a period of 2 weeks. I eat a pretty balanced diet that is rich in greens, vegetables and fruit but I have those days that I wish I could say I ate bad, but it’s mostly that time gets in between meals and I eat late. Inconsistency happens! I noticed when I apply the Sano Vitamin C Serum+, my skin quickly absorbs it. It was so quick that my skin felt soft but with no product residue. I even tested one side of my face by applying just simple H2o and even water does not get absorbed at this rate. It usually would roll off but not this serum. So far I was happy with my first application and in not getting an oily appearance and/or feeling. I continued use and by day 4 saw what appeared as smoothness. Let me add no blemishes, pimples, blackheads or any skin occlusions. This serum is friendly when it comes to any acne suffers and even though people say mine is in the mild range, I myself is the one that deals with it so I rate it moderate at times to those moments that you get the monster bump that never comes up. My pores appear smaller just because my skin looks smoother and plumped up but in a good way! I continued use and noticed less was needed as I continued to use the product. My skin was hydrated enough that where I used 2 to 3 drops in one area, then changed to only needing one drop. The one drop then glided better when applied because my skin did experience positive changes. I don’t feel I have lost “years” when it comes to aging but I definitely look better. I look like I slept well, drank all my 8 glasses of water, and even ate well……even though that is not always the case. I was definitely happy with the results!

This is a bonus item with purchase.  You again have a cobalt blue colored jar and I love that the product comes with a safety seal that you peel, so no air or anything that can damage or eat up the Vitamin C benefits while in storage. Easy to store and even pack in an overnight bag.

Results-

I never thought a gel could deliver moisture I was happy with but this one did the trick. Being that it’s a gel, the product goes on cold and instantly starts working on my morning’s puffy eyes. The Aloe in the product is very gentle to the skin in that area and I love how my make-up glides on after. Some eye creams would roll up sometimes due to the residue left behind and I had to then try to collect these little eye cream left-overs while at the same time not messing up my make-up. Not with the Sano’s Vitamin C Eye gel+. The product is rich in Peptides to Hyaluronic Acid. Do not be fooled, this gel does moisturize but the area is left with a supple and replenished look. I had zero eye irritations and found the gel friendly to my allergy suffering eyes. A little goes a long way, I used what I could as lightly dab out of the container, maybe the size of two rice grains per eye. The instant results alone of reducing puffiness is hard to beat and I used it with the Sano Vitamin C Serum +, just to get that extra help in my problem areas. My only small con is the product coming in jar form. I prefer bottles with pumps or that have an applicator like a dropper. I’m just not a fan of dabbing into a jar due to bacteria/germs, but due to the performance of the product, it would not deter me from buying it.

Final Results
I was an Apricot Scrub user for…….well, let’s just say years because I started to count and Junior High came up and then I thought about HOW MANY years are in between. Let’s say Apricot Pits are so yesterday and it’s all about the Lava Pumice! The pumice is better and I reward whoever finely crushes it so Mr. Lava Rock Crusher….thank you! The fine texture did not allow me to over exfoliate and because it is a masque and begins to dry, your play time is ended and that means the chance to cause damage does to. I left the masque on for 20 minutes and after removing, I loved the results. Out of all the masks, my skin liked how the Argile Nettoyante exfoliated best. It beat the face brush I was using and I got 2 uses out of one packet. You just can’t find a more nourishing product on the market for the price point and a packet is easier to store than a bottle!

7th Heaven, Montagne Jeunesse Argile Miracle Masque

7th Heaven Montagne Jeunesse Argile Miracle, part of the Miracle Mud collection. This is the second masque I tried and discovered all muds are not created equally. ***Getting Closer to Giveaway Time, so stay tuned***

The Argile Miracle Masque contains Dead Sea Mud along with Dead Sea Salt. This mud aids in the brightening of the skin by helping remove dead skin’s cells but also giving the new skin surfacing pretty much a healthy shake full of benefits.

Let’s break down the Masque:
By providing the new skin with a huge dose of hydration and minerals, it really gets it’s start on the right foot. The rich minerals found in the mud moisten the surface and allows everything from blood flow to oxygen to reach those very hungry cells. Your pores are unclogged and you will visually notice a reduction in size, giving you a more youthful appearance and your skin will also feel softer to the touch. The mud is also rich in vitamins so you will be left with improved skin to regenerated cells. Dead Sea mud is rich in salt too! Sodium helps detoxify and exfoliate, to just simply sanitize your skin. Salt also helps draw out toxins that may cause issues like acne, clogged pores, to black and white heads. Other riches found in the mud are Magnesium, Potassium and Calcium.

The Argile Miracle Masque gets it’s magic not only from the Dead Sea but from the other ingredients it has. You have Organic Baobab, considered a super fruit and has more Vitamin C than oranges. Organic Marula Oil, considered an anti-aging ingredient that helps rejuvenate, hydrate, and also filled with fatty acids. The oil also provides a layer of protection because it is full of antioxidants. You will also find Organic Aloe Vera, Dulse Seaweed, and Marine Mud.

The Double Punch of Mud and Goodies Difference:

I thought I would not notice a difference from one mud to another but since this one has both Dead Sea Mud and Marine Mud, I was hoping for double the “ooh-la-la”. The masque was applied and left on for 25 minutes and blame the phone call I got at 15 minutes for my 5 minute lapse! After wiping off the phone and hanging up, I washed my face and patted dry. I noticed a reduction in pore size and my skin felt soft, not over dry at all. I had gotten a little on my eyebrow and eye area (unsure how, let’s blame the phone call on that too) but I experienced no issues thankfully, and I do have sensitive skin in my area after an allergic reaction I experienced this summer with an “Urban” eye primer. It was good to know that I was safe but I would recommend still being careful when you apply. I applied my make-up and then went off about my day.

Final Verdict:

I would consider this masque from the 7th Heaven family a keeper because it is not hard on my skin. This masque would be my “maintainer”, meaning it helps maintain my skin but is not a corrector or detoxifier. I don’t always need rescue masks and I use the detox ones on a bi-weekly basis, so the Argile Miracle would be my mini weekly spa retreat!

Montagne Jeunesse, 7th Heaven Argile de Detoxification

This holiday season I have experienced a cold that turned into a flu, plus with the added stress…..well, my skin showed everything I had been going through. I want my skin to look great all year round but with meeting up with friends and family, this is the time of year the camera comes out and I really do not want to remember 2013’s holiday season along with the havoc my skin has gone through. Oh yeah, I remember that pimple on my cheek where I never get it until two days into December! I was ready to turn things around and hopefully 7th Heaven will be my salvation!  ***Giveaway will be launched soon, so stay tuned***

I was sent three masques to try and I quickly reached out for what I felt explained perfectly what I need, the Argile De Detoxification Deep Pore Cleaning Masque. In 15 to 20 minutes, I have a chance to change my skin and it’s appearance and you bet I am taking it!

This Masque is part of the “Detox Mud” collection and I already like how 7th Heaven carries lines that can be paired up with your skin’s needs to the results you desire. Yes, make it easy for me because at this point with all the glitter everywhere, I am wondering if that is clogging my skin (yes, I walk out like a cat lady with cat hairs, but my evidence is glitter-rama). You know you have hit your glitter quota when you look in your mailbox and yes…..there was glitter even in there so now it’s even getting delivered! Your Argile de (aka:glitter) Detoxification starts with Glacial Mud, which is rich in minerals that help get rid of dead skin cells while at the same time softening and purifying your skin. You think of mud and dryness may come to mind but that is not the case with Glacial Mud, the mud hydrates by actually attracting water! You then have Organic White Tea, which I have mentioned before I absolutely love. You have zero adverse effects with a product like White Tea because it’s gentle but rich in antioxidants….the stuff that attacks those free radicals that love to ruin the day, and your skin. Free radicals can be blamed for pretty much everything from damaging your skin, accelerating aging and causing not only problems to your outward appearance but your overall well being. Probably even the holes in the ozone layer. Okay, maybe not that.

Flavonoids, a class of antioxidants, inhibits the growth of cancer cells and prevent the development of new ones so if I could bathe in tea, I would! The good stuff continues with Organic With Hazel, Organic Aloe Vera, Organic Ginseng, to Organic Cucumber. Another ingredient is Quillaja (aka: Soapbark tree), which is usually used in place of Xanthan Gum (emulsifier) but Quillaja has added benefits. Current studies have seen benefits in acne to even dandruff problems. Quillaja is not only was safe for sensitive skin but provided less oil production and allowed your pores to look smaller. I also liked that the study found a reduction in acne lesions……please, oh please annihilate that cheek pimple that is right where my dimple is so I love how when I smile it likes to move up and down!

Let the discovery of the new me begin:

I applied the masque in the shower because I was short on time but I also like how mud/clay masks perform by using this wet and dry method. I felt a cooling effect that opened up my pores and I thank the peppermint oil present in the masque for that wake-up call. I made sure to apply the masque knowing I would be out in 10 minutes. I then made sure to remember to not dry my face and walked out with the masque still on. I like using my time wisely when I pretend I am having a mini spa day, so the last 10 minutes I did things like put more lotion on my feet to those forgotten elbows. After 20 minutes, the masque had changed colors and had dried, so I washed my face and softly patted with a towel. I applied my creams, serums and magic potions and then headed off to bed. The next day, I awoke and my cheek pimple was no longer pudgy and pink. I had a thin scab but no hardness in the center like it had for 2 long days. The thing had finally dried out and was now healing versus playing the game of I may burst today if I feel like it but then there is tomorrow. I looked in the mirror and my skin had a glow but that imbalance issue I was experiencing while sick was now gone. For some reason when I get the flu, my forehead likes to get oily along with my chin. My nose then gets enlarged pores and starts pretending to look like Rudolph, so I was glad to drop the red nose act that I blame my overuse of tissue on. Thankfully, the pain I felt in the corner of my nose was gone and I was so glad because I hate those “blind pimples” that hurt and enlarge the area but never come out to play (get popped). The masque had definitely kicked the no face pimple out. I applied my make-up and went Christmas shopping!

Final Verdict:

I would buy this masque again and again and even use it as a spot treatment for acne and blemishes, even though that is not what the product was made for. I apply make-up more frequently in December and sometimes even go wash my face to change to a evening look, so my skin gets dry to even producing more oil in my “t-zone” area because I have stripped the good oils too. If I felt an area where a blemish may be trying to come through, I would sleep with a dot of something over the area and the next day the pimple would be dry or it would decide to wreak havoc on someone else. No matter what…..it skipped me! I want to be skipped with the yuck stuff wants to attack my skin! Get this mask because not only does it help get your skin back on the healthy track when you were ill, but it also helps keep it there.
