ISA Professional:100% USDA Organic (EVAO) Argan Cold Pressed Oil #ISAprofessional

IMAG2600

I have reviewed several beauty related products from hair to skin items, which are infused with Argan oil. I am definitely a fan! I have also started to alternate from Coconut oil, Emu oil, and Argan oil when it comes to applying to my lashes and hair. I figure each oil has it’s own benefits and like myself, I don’t like to eat the same thing everyday, so why not feed my hair, skin and nails a different meal too. I call it having a balanced diet!

To control the oil and added ingredients, I have not started to just seek oils that can be purchased as-is, with no additions. It’s the best way to make sure I am getting what I seek and ISA Professional provides you with 100% Argan oil.

What does ISA Professional’s Extra Virgin Argan oil (EVAO) offer:

  • The oil is cold pressed to insure none of the benefits of the Argan tree kernel are lost or changed by a heat process.
  • ISA goes further by providing a 100% USDA Organic product. No chemicals or pesticides that add undesired substances. You have what I call “clean farming” when it comes to the care of the trees and what they produce.
  • You get an oil that is extra virgin, meaning that you get the press that contains the best of what the oil has to offer.
  • ISA Professional also participates in Fair Trade practices. The Argan oil comes from a co-op of Berber women from Morocco.

What to Expect:
You can read on-line about all the vitamins and benefits, to even products I have reviewed in the past that contain the oil. Knowledge is great but it’s hard to know if an oil will work for you with how congested the beauty oil world has become. Everyone is fighting to make you shiny! Not all oils are equal and not all oils will perform well, with some even bringing negative factors that may not outweigh the benefits. You can have soft skin but some oils cause blemishes and clog pores, so pimples are never a plus no matter how smooth my skin may look. I have found that Argan oil as long as it’s the real thing like what you get from ISA Proffesional, does not cause these issues. The oil replenishes your skin’s cells with really little to no havoc, and this may be because so little is needed to reap the benefits and also achieve even coverage. You can use it as it comes and it really does feed your skin and leaves a nice layer of protection that slowly releases……almost like a time release capsule! I get breakouts from time to time and especially from fragrances, but never from Argan oil and this is even where you may be experiencing such issues like the chest, chin, t-zone, or anywhere. Don’t confuse being kind and light to not being strong (powerful) because Argan oil has given me the softest feet that need less maintenance but are already sandal ready! Your skin will improve and it’s economical, plus no gel caps to mess with like with Vitamin E oil that never gave me the Argan oil results.

ISA Professional’s EVAO oil is supreme in quality and not price with a 2 fluid ounce bottle retailing at: $28.50 via their website or on Amazon.

Uses:
I started using it on my feet and by day three, I had soft feet but by week one, I had nourished my feet (and toe nails) enough that they fooled you into thinking I used lotions on them everyday for years. My toe nails have zero polish but look beautiful, so it’s a true “nude” without the labor of polishing.  My feet’s skin color improved because the skin’s texture now matches in softness from top to bottom. I then started adding three drops while my hair is wet and once I blow-dry, I have a healthy shine and again a softness that only comes from Argan oil. My hair also builds less static because it’s not as dry to be able to create it. Forget cuticle oils when you can just add a few drops to your nails and then a couple more to punch up any hand lotion you have.

Simple to use and simple to incorporate into anyone’s beauty routine that I encourage you to try out the EVAO oil by ISA Professional:

Use:

Simple to use and like any other beauty oil, a little goes a long way, Just a few drops can be applied to the skin’s surface and you want a nice thin layer, which will absorb quickly and leave your skin feeling hydrated. I like to first rub the oil in my hands and then gently press against my face to ensure a light but even application. You can use your finger tips to get to the areas around your eyes by using a soft patting motion. I also used it as a base for a lip exfoliatant by adding sugar and just using my lips (slight pressure) to rub the mixture for about 30 seconds. You then rinse and you are left with smooth lips that look healthy and fresh, but not left dry due to the gentle exfoliation you get from the sugar and the moisture from the Argan oil.Use:

What to Expect:
Over time and especially if you address the problem areas, like around your eyes, fine lines, wrinkles, you will see an improvement with texture. I did a 4-week trial and did see a reduction in fine lines, to some even smoothing out and barely noticeable. Winter tends to be harsh on my skin, but Foxbrim’s Argan oil kept my skin looking dewy and fresh. You get a nice natural glow and I experienced zero blemishes and/or clogged pores from the product. I started also using it in my hair, before blow drying and I love how soft it leaves my hair. No oily residue that appears on clothes but my hair looks great and I get less frizz or static.

I was very satisfied with the product and will be adding it to my oil regimens and I like using Foxbrim’s Argan oil combined with my Coconut oil.  The benefits and being that the product is Organic is big plus when it comes to other brands.  Foxbrim’s Argan oil also comes in a glass bottle with a dropper that easily measures out what you need with zero waste!

No offense, Defense is the best! Defense Soap #Review

Defense-soap

A while back, I was doing some gardening in my front “succulent garden” in our courtyard. We have no “outside” pets, just a dog who acts allergic to sunlight. So, since we use good organic dirt and have (had?) nothing to fear, I was gardening bare handed. Little did I know some neighbor and their “outside” cat had decided my front door garden was also suitable as a litterbox. Truly, truly a disgusting find. I washed my hands almost immediately, but as anyone who gardens will tell you, little scrapes and scratches happen. I started to get what our Google-fu told us was ringworm. Double ew. Luckily for me, hubby had been in contact via The Underground forums with Guy Sako of Defense Soap. I started washing with his bar and shower gel poste-haste. In a matter of about a week, I was itch and worry free. Huzzah!

IMAG1395

Now you may be wondering what all this has to do with my usual posts of beauty, health, and food. See, hubby uses this soap fairly regularly after exercise or especially after doing yard work, because again, for some reason, inconsiderate people think a cat’s dirty business belongs in our yard. I liked how it smelled, and a little added bonus was that he stopped getting really bad blemishes or breakouts from sunscreen and grime. So I thought I’d give it a try on my face. And have I been ever so pleased with the results.

IMAG1393Defense Soap uses simple, natural disinfectants like the highest quality 100% natural Tea Tree and Eucalyptus oils. No petrochemicals or triclosan. No sodium lauryl sulfate either. It helps balance your skins natural pH and bacteria, and not be so harsh as to cause redness, irritation or cracked skin. And lo and behold, within a week’s time, I noticed that my skin started clearing. No breakouts after a long, hot day wearing make-up. No over-dried feelings that made me afraid to smile or laugh. Best of all, no micro-beads that made me leave my little electric face scrubber in the drawer. Just clean.

IMAG1392Defense Soap’s unique blend of essential oils manage to devastating to harmful bacteria, virus and fungus but are gentle enough to your helpful bacteria that your skin is recolonized in just a few hours.

Can I talk to you about your makeup brushes, as long as I’ve got you here? How many of you wash your brushes regularly? Because you really should. We spend a pretty penny on our brushes (or even get really good ones on sale, cheap!), and using harsh soap on natural brush bristles? Can we really be that cruel? I was. Until hubby shared his Defense soap gel. A little drop in some hot water…boom; Clean, disinfected brushes on my clean, disinfected face. Especially you there on the couch, you know who you are. The one that reapplies your makeup in the bathroom on lunch? YOUR BRUSH IS DIRTY! Because your brush has all those germs from that bathroom festering in your compact, in your makeup pouch, in your purse. Yuck. You NEED Defense soap. Today. Right now. Go ahead. I’ll wait.

IMAG1391

This little discovery has been great, and as anyone who reads my blog with any regularity will tell you, I like to champion the little guy. And Guy Sako has been doing this labor of love with very little support outside of the combat sports community. It’s time I did my part and tried to spread his sphere of influence far and wide, because here is an American company doing all the right things for all the right reasons. You might have even seen Defense Soap at your gym before, and thought nothing of it. I’m here to tell you you should. Not just for the gym either! (because there’s nothing skeevier than the floor of your gym’s shower.) Not only will it keep funk and grime off your significant other keeping them healthy and happy, but will also make your skin healthy and happy too. Sharing is caring after all.

IMAG1436

Oh, gym clothes got a serious case of the “YUK”? Defense Soap has you covered there. Don’t feel like a shower after the gym or workout? Again, covered. Want to add some healthy, natural disinfectant to your every day body wash? Defense already thought of that. His shoes giving his feets the itch? Spray the ick away. Got a scratch you don’t want to itch? A little dab‘ll do ya.

images

So, in the end, while on the surface it might seem Defense Soap isn’t for you, you have to remember that every day is a fight us. Against germs. Against viruses. Against breakouts. Against all the yuck the world tries to throw at us every day. The world isn’t fighting fair, either, bringing all it’s weapons to bear. Better bring a weapon of your own. This good Defense is the best offense.
