I don’t experience gray hairs yet, unless you count the 1/2 one I found two months ago. I figure it’s a warning of what is yet to come but a lot my friends already dye their hair and it’s not just for covering up grays, but they want to change hues, tones, to just wanting a nice fresh new look. The market is filled with dyes, as I recall when I use to dye my hair, it was an avast selection of brands and colors.

One thing a dye user seeks is being able to depend that the box will yield the desired color you seek to achieve. Many times you flip a box over, look down the column and find your current color, but after use, the color does not even closely match the column of the color you were suppose to end up with! Permanent color means that you either learn to love it, or wait some time and try again to avoid hair damage. Not something I ever wanted to do! The other feature I would seek, is a dye that is not harsh on the skin and hair, but still left you with a vibrant shade that lasted. After so many years since do-it-at home dyes have hit the market, sometimes going with what brought you to the game is your best bet!

Clairol’s Nice n’ Easy says it all. It’s a brand we all associate with from commercials, magazine ads, and most times the intro to being the first boxed dye you ever used. The one that gave you faith that you can do this and succeed. We all succeeded, so we used other colors and then slowly expanded to other brands and so forth, thinking we would yield the same results. Error! This is the area where I got lost and almost lost my locks. I should have gone back to the faithful Nice n’ Easy but I thought because I had so many times dyed my hair and ended up with fantastic results, that would always remain being the same.

Un Rato Juntas sent me a party kit, which features Clairol’s Nice n’ Easy brand that is part of the Procter & Gamble family. The process has not changed since I dyed my hair, but the formulations over time has improved due to innovations. The box comes with:
- ColorBlend Formula
- ColorBlend Activator
- CC ColorSeal Conditions
- and a pair of Expert Gloves

Retail Price Point: Mass Merchandisers like Target, Walmart and Drug Stores from CVS and Walgreen’s have the boxes ranging from $6.50 to $7.99.

Verdict:
Nice n’ Easy provides 100% gray coverage that lasts up to 8 weeks. The mixing is as easy as can be, so that means no chemist degree needed. The colors to choose from varies by store stock but Clairol has 45 shades to choose from. The days of bad surprises is a thing of the past because you can get an idea by just flipping the box over, finding what color your current hair’s color is, and right on the outside of the box, you can see the color change the dye can achieve. Simple! What I love best than just the results, is the CC ColorSeal conditioner. This conditioner softens and protects your hair and dye. It almost acts like a restorer because your hair is left feeling softer than before you dyed your hair. There are times that even when I did not need to dye my hair, I would pick-up a box and use the conditioner like a hair mask because I love how my hair feels after. Clairol is also generous with portions, so I had glossy hair for weeks. Sometimes moving away from the brands you can trust is what gets us lost. We pick-up boxes that are shiner, make over the top promises and sometimes cost double the price or more. Why waste time and money, when Clairol’s Nice n’ Easy makes achieving beautiful hair easy and affordable!

With the FIFA World Cup matches heating up, this has been a year where record numbers are starting to tune in. I can say that I have had more “soccer” conversations than I usually did in the past. Orgullosa, a Procter & Gamble division was kind enough to treat my guests and myself to some P&G products and a little party to celebrate the event(s). I have found serving a buffet of desserts and making it a “sweet treats” event keeps the guests happy and I have mastered the art of mini pies and desserts. Finger foods and small servings lets everyone make enough room to have a little bit of everything 🙂
Let’s begin……
- Tide & Orgullosa T-Shirts:
Finally, shirts that are cut beautifully to fit a female. Each shirt featured a colorful Futbol embraced with the Orgullosa logo and colors. The slogan read, “Orgullosa De Mis Colores”, meaning Proud of my colors. A Tide logo is located on the bottom left corner and the facebook address and Orgullosa logo on the back. Nice white shirts that are comfortable to lounge in and my guests were excited to receive them. I folded the shirts to resemble a basket and stuffed them with goodies and others I used as a base, and stacked the Procter & Gamble items with a finished bow to hold it all together.

The pods are perfect for HE washers and regular models. You simply toss a pod in the drum, add your clothes and the machine and the Tide Pod do the rest. Everyone received the Spring Meadow scent. One pod is enough to do one large load and if it’s an extra large one, simply add two. I love that they dissolve easily in any water temperature and perform well when it comes to removing stains and getting clothes clean. Not hard on fabrics and actually tends to brighten colors. Each pod contains detergent, stain remover and a brightener, so you are covered when it comes to getting clothes cleaned their best with Tide Pods. You can find these pods at your local stores and don’t forget your coupons. A 72 count usually retails for $17.99 and places like Target have the Cart Wheel app, where savings can be greater.

- Head & Shoulders 2-in-1 in Green Apple:
Shampoo and Conditioner with a nice fresh green apple scent. This is a anti-dandruff shampoo that has a clean and crisp scent. The product contains Pyrithione Zinc in 1% as the active ingredient. Many anti-dandruff shampoos tend to be drying to hair and even the scalp, making the dandruff problem worsen plus creating others. Head & Shoulders leaves your hair manageable and looking beautiful, plus benefiting from a healthy scalp. This product contains conditioner and for those days that I am short on time or need a quick wash to get the pool’s chlorinated water off, this fits the bill perfectly. A 14.2 ounce bottle is a low price of $5.79.

- Charmin Basic Huge Rolls:
I have purchased the normal rolls, double to big rolls and when I saw the word HUGE, I just thought the big rolls had changed their name. This roll saves my sanity! Why you ask? I seem to be the only one in the house that has mastered the skill of changing the TP roll. Since I have held such a skill, this means for some reason I go in and the roll is empty but still there, empty but a roll was placed on the counter (like saying “almost got there”) or two square sheets are left and this includes the one that is glued on. The Charmin Basic Huge rolls have 385 sheets, which breaks down to 41.9 square feet of peace. You save with the Basic line and you don’t sacrifice quality. Even though this is a 1-ply tissue roll, the sheets are comfortably soft and still “hold up”. I like saving and that includes my skills as bathroom TP roll installer! You can find this new product at your local store and if you can’t find it, ask for it!

- Head & Shoulders 2-in-1 Old Spice:
Being that I also have male guests, Orgullosa sort of figured out that not all the guys want to smell like flowers or even a green apple. In comes the Old Spice scent that smells clean but with less of a floral bouquet fragrance. The product still contains the same fighting power of 1% Pyrithione Zinc and conditioner because guys even with short need it. I don’t want to date a Porcupine, so please condition your locks no matter how long or short they are. The “handsome scent” as listed on the bottle does smell nice and not at all like most men products that smell like musk or the woods. This is a welcoming scent that does it’s job but in a more “manly” way 🙂 A bottle retails for $5.79 for the 14.2 ounce size.
I have been on a kick to increase my water intake and it has helped to add lime and lemon slices. My skin has improved and I feel better, so I have continued the habit. I do not enjoy always refilling a bottle and trying to stuff citrus slices, so these types of tumblers always make things better and easier. Easy to wash means I keep my water drinking habit and the Orgullosa logo just makes me appreciate it that much more. Great gift because it will get used on a daily basis.
- Coupon Booklets & Tide Pods Magnets:
Every guest received not only all the items above to try but also a savings book filled with coupons. There was also other coupons for other P&G products like Covergirl, which were not included. The Tide Pods magnets gave instructions and tips about the pods.

Blueberry Pie slice
As I mentioned, I find serving an array of desserts and treats as a way to make something for everyone. I made 4 mini pies that each yield 4 slices. I went with a star theme as the that is what La Copa (the cup) had. I went with an apple, blueberry, blackberry and a strawberry rhubarb pies. I also included 2 other treats, a Lemon Pound cake with a cream cheese swirl laced with Meyer Lemon curd and a Blueberry Buckle. I wanted my guests to leave with a treat but a not so sweet one, so I made each a small artisan loaf. My way of thanking them for coming and something they can enjoy at home with their next meal. Nothing like fresh bread to make a sandwich for two or just enjoy with a little butter. We plan to see los partidos together that involve the countries we are rooting for. I wanted Argentine, Brazil or Germany and then I was told I had to pick one. I’m waiting for more games to finish to see who ends on top when it comes to my favorite. Orgullosa also supplied us with a field poster and cut-outs. We had fun….maybe too much fun 🙂

Fresh Baked Bread for guests to take home.

We got crazy with cut-outs and even the dog was included but she smiled 🙂

I love these parties and who doesn’t? You get to share items with friends and also money saving coupons. Today we all try to save and also get the best bang for our buck and you do not need to sacrifice quality all together. Procter and Gamble helps do just that with their Basic lines, so you can still purchase necessities without breaking the wallet.

I was sent a healthy assortment of products to try, share and also had a raffle giveaway for the coupons that were for the free items. Everyone loves leaving with goodies to take home and give it a “real world” test!
My Orgullosa !Esta Quincena se Celebra! Kit Included:

You still get the “picker-upper” power but for a more economical price-point. We found the sheets to be thinner but if you spilled a liquid, the Basic Bounty sheet did it’s job of absorbing every last drop. The only differences we noticed is that the product can’t be reused as much as the other Bounty lines, however it all depends on your needs. I use paper towels to clean and dispose with few times needing to squeeze a second life out of a sheet. We rarely clean spills so Bounty Basic fits my needs perfectly. We usually clean a surface and then dispose of the sheet. I also like that the Basic sheet does not let go lint all over my counters. Having a dark granite makes it easy to spot a paper-towel that may be leaving anything behind, but Bounty Basic did not dirty while cleaning :). We all enjoyed the lower price-point and you can catch Bounty Basic on sale, plus with the coupons (look in your Sunday paper or use my link below), you get to save more!

A place where skimping on quality can go wrong, in comes Charmin Basic to save the day with a lower cost toilet paper that does not require you to waste more by using more. Charmin Basic is the only toilet paper we have found that for the price point, it gives you a satisfied clean, does not require you to dust the bathroom because of the “TP linty dust” left behind like with other brands. Charmin Basic is also easy on plumbing and I found that it rarely clogs or slows a toilet when flushing. We switched like many of my guests have, to a more economical toilet paper because no one likes to flush money down the drain. I have been satisfied with how long a roll lasts and overall performance, that if Charmin Basic remains like it is, I will not be changing brands anytime soon.

Out of habit, I like many others purchased the facial tissue that my parents purchased. I went with the tissue that could keep up with my allergy needs and leave me with a “kleen” nose. As time went on, the prices kept increasing and the coupons when I found them……well, they were not much savings. Sometimes I felt I was wasting ink and paper for the sake of saving! I switched at my last Orgullosa party, when P&G sent just a travel size pack. I used the pack up and realized I did not miss my former brand. I started purchasing Puffs and then tried the Basic line. Found my perfect balance of savings without sacrificing quality. I still use 1 to 2 tissues like I did with my old brand but found I’m more allergic to wasting money than pollen 🙂

- Gifts for Guests “Entre Nosotras”:
The wonderful Orgullosa/P&G group also included gifts for my guests. We received adorable notebooks with pens, bracelets and coupons. I raffled the “freebie coupons”, to the guest that could stack more on their Bounty Basic sheet before it broke. Think of a Jenga game but with Bounty!

Being that we were close to Valentine’s Day, I baked chocolate chip cookies and just added a heart sprinkle to each one for that Valentine’s Day touch. I served my guests Kabobs with a Mediterranean Wild Rice and Vegetable Medley. I usually go the Spanish route but wanted something different for my guests and barbecuing seemed fit on this beautiful California’s day. The sun was out and since Winter forgot about us this year, we made the most of it! Everyone enjoyed the festivities and you see how happy people get when they learn to save with the Basic Everyday lines from Procter & Gamble…..savings makes smiles 😀

I was fortunate to be able to share with friends another wonderful party kit, which was supplied by Orgullosa, a Procter & Gamble program. We are a P&G household and supporter because I truly am very happy with how their products perform, plus the company really stands behind their family of brands. This party kit consisted of several items from companies that are part of the P&G family like Gain to CoverGirl. We received everything from laundry related goods to even beauty items so let’s get the sharing started…….
Gain Forget Me Not Dryer Bar (http://www.ilovegain.com/)
I have tried the bars before in the dryer and they save time, plus the hunt of finding a used dryer sheet in your laundry. So many times I have slipped on pajamas to find the missing sheet in a pant leg! I also forget and even though I use fabric softener, I like that extra boost a dryer sheet or dryer bar gives my towels and linens. That being said don’t think the dryer bars are just limited to the dryer. I have one in my linen closet that keeps my towels and comforters from getting that “cabinet smell”, because, let’s be honest, you all know what I am talking about. Clean towels and sheets that remain in their place tend to lose their fresh smell with time even though they are clean. This is where the dryer bar saves me from washing what is really clean items. Another use I have found for these bars is the “funky trashcan” problem in the kitchen. Again, stick a dryer bar in the cabinet, as I find sticking one on the lid inconvenient. Your trash will still smell but no one will be the wiser as the dryer bar masks the odor. The third place that gets a dryer bar would be the bathroom……I don’t need to explain that one. Let’s say the room smells fresher with it 🙂

Cascade Platinum with Dawn Pacs in Fresh Scent (http://www.cascadeclean.com/us/cascade/)
I had just purchased another “manufacturer recommended” brand that I found on sale but always welcome more of anything that cleans. I use the Cascade rinse agent as I found it lower in cost and better performing than my former brand, so I was curious to see if the Cascade Platinum pacs would outperform my tabs. I had one of those moments where I am glad I stocked up when it was on sale but just found a better product……oops! I love Dawn soap and so many times wish I could use it in my dishwasher without the fear of over-suds or worse, they say to not do it. I think Dawn does what it says and cuts grease so it cleans better and these did. My glasses were cleaner and this is even after “we” (aka Husband) overstuffed the dishwasher! My wonderful Husband must think we have hamsters in there that wear goggles and shower caps, all the while holding little dish-brushes to scrub our plates, because he stacks things in there with little thought on how they will get hit by water and actually be cleaned. It somehow all will work itself out and be clean in the end and only with Cascade Platinum pacs has his logic work. It’s nice not to need to inspect before turning on the dishwasher!

CoverGirl Clump Crusher by Lashblast Mascara (http://www.covergirl.com/)
CoverGirl is the brand that last time convinced me that I was wasting money on $20 and $30 plus mascaras. I must admit that when you pay a high price on mascaras, that 3 month period of use you are suppose to have tends to bend a little. You convince yourself that you did not use it that much the first month and really just try to get your money’s worth. The part that then gets to me that no matter the formulation, the mascara just starts drying with air exposure and time. I even try not pumping the wand so as to not add more of that dreaded oxygen to it. I stopped being nervous and over cautious about mascara when I stopped paying outrageous price points. We all want the same in the end, pretty lashes and not lashes that look like clumpy spider legs. We want them long but not so fake because we would be wearing fake ones if we wanted that over the top ultra length. I can say that the Clump Crusher is everything I want in a mascara from brush to formula and guess what, I now dispose of my mascara every 3 months or sooner because it does not cause me to go, “ouch” when I do.

Gain Fireworks In-Wash Scent Booster (http://www.ilovegain.com/)
I began to dislike the trend of making my washing chores longer or more complicated until I realized these “magic beads” are helping me in the end. From the gym clothing that made the hamper want to move out, to the yardwork clothing that we best not even speak about, these scent boosters work. You still have to wash the dirty clothes in the same amount of time but it no longer carries that odor that makes you want to separate the wash with BBQ tongs. Sheets to pillow cases just smell fresh and nice. I also feel they are great because whatever you washed with the scent booster, it also aids in making a room smell fresh. My newest non-washer use is adding some to my canister vacuum. I vacuum the entire home and I’m doing a dual job because it makes the house smell magnificent! Thursday a day where I cooked several dishes to have for the rest of the week and also the weekend so the house had that “foodie smell”. I vacuumed and…problem solved. Better and cheaper than a plug-in for each room of the house!

Secret Clinical Strength “Stress Response” Deodorant in Serene Citrus Scent (http://www.secret.com/)
Girls sweat and we can call it glowing but a glow should not smell…….well, un-girly! Perfumes are great but there are those days where we move more, do more, and let’s face it, worry more. It’s nice to not have to worry about one more thing and that is sweaty armpits……sorry, I mean glowing underarms. There are just places I don’t want telling on me and I can count on Secret on keeping things on the hush-hush level. The citrus scent is pleasant but not overpowering (no lemon girls here) and it helps control perspiration when you are trying to control everything else like that thing called L-I-F-E 😉

Puffs Facial Tissue in Basic: http://www.puffs.com/puffs-basic
I always love having these facial tissue boxes in the bathroom but when being economical, you sometimes start skimping on things and this was one of them. I would strategically place a tissue coming out of the box and warn everyone in the home to not dare touch it because it took me 5 minutes to make it look like I replaced the box. With Puffs Basic you can have your tissue that people can actually touch and use. You get a fair price and when on sale with a coupon, well I feel a little crazy for admitting I did the above. Best of all, it works. “Basic”, in this case, doesn’t mean “cheap-o”, even if the price point is. Cool.
Orgullosa Shirts
All my guests also received something that made them, “Oooooooh”, and that was these t-shirts. It says in Spanish, “Tengo la falda bien puesta, y tu?” It means I have my skirt well put on, do you? It’s a play in words meaning you are prepared and ready for anything, from taking on the everyday tasks to those surprises but with a feminine touch of course. We all have our interpretation of what the saying means to us but in the end it’s about being strong! That is what I adore about this program because we can still be girls but when we unite and especially for these events, we share, help, and even laugh about the things that we experience…..the good, the bad, and the not so gorgeous! I know I will be Orgullosa (proud) to be wearing my shirt.

Not required but it’s something I do as Orgullosa always includes these conversation starter cards, is I posted them to my guest’s party gifts. This time I gave out sour gummy bear containers and a mason jar filled with salt water taffy in several flavors. P&G also provided us with coupon booklets, pens, notepads, in addition to the products and I encourage you to visit the brand sites as many have money saving coupons on-line. Sign-up to their newsletter also helps in getting coupon alerts to news on the latest items, and even saw loyalty programs.
We had the party on Labor Day weekend and it was hot, I kept things simple and had a sandwich bar. Guests were able to pick and make their own sandwiches as they desire with how much they like. Some had salads on the side while others had chips but everyone was happy with this event and thank you again Orgullosa and Procter & Gamble for helping me hold this party!

I received the above products free of charge from Orgullosa. I am not obligated in providing a favorable/positive review, just my honest opinion. My review is based on my experience with the brand(s), which may differ from yours.

Have I told you yet how much I love being part of the Orgullosa family? Well, in the past I have thrown several parties for VocalPoint, which is part of the Procter & Gamble group. Orgullosa is also a division of that group and it’s about having pride in our family and heritage. You celebrate by sharing P&G products and hosting an event. These gatherings are always a hit and I usually gather a group of friends and start making memories. At this event, I received several new products and some old favorites to share.
The kit included such brands like Olay, Secret, Crest, Downy, Always, Tampax, Covergirl and Tide.
You get samples and coupons to share with guests, along with trinkets like a folding (compact) mirror and even a fashionable bracelet.
I tried the items out before sharing with guests and because my event was in early May, I went with a Cinco de Mayo/Mother’s Day theme. I figure celebrating two holidays equals twice the fun!
Let’s get started…..

Tide Pods– The idea is to only need one capsule to clean a full load. The capsule has three colors, white for the detergent, then orange and blue colored swirls for the stain remover and brightener. I first like how easy it is to use and it’s HE safe. The scent is Spring Meadow, which is light and pleasant. I like the aspect of just throwing a pod in the washer with dirty clothes and only worrying about softener. I was skeptical but must admit that my grey colored load came out clean, without any stains on any article of clothing. The clothes also did not feel stiff or stripped, like many detergents tend to be harsh on cottons and linens. This was a favorite with many guests because of the ease of use. We all dislike those heavy detergent boxes and feeling like doing laundry is close to making lab experiments, when you start adding boosters like stain remover, whiteners, brighteners…..you name it. These pods provide a guarantee clean and because the stain remover is included, if I miss a stain it really does not turn into a big deal.

Downy Unstoppables– I have used these enhancers before and love them. What I had not tried was the “pink” colored scent, which is called Shimmer. Don’t worry, your clothes will not be full of glitter but the name refers more to the enticing smell these scent boosters create. They compliment well with the other liquid Downy softeners you purchase, so it’s not like throwing in a bottle of perfume with your wash. Think a long lasting clean scent! I love using them on bath mats, towels to bed sheets. They are very easy to use, just shake and pour into the drum, plus it’s safe for HE washers. They work so it’s hard to stop using them. I also have found other purposes for them like leaving an open packet under the sink and say bye-bye to trash smells. You can also pour some of the flat beads into a tray and keep it in the bathroom. You control how much “boost” you want and I like that because some articles of clothing, like gym clothes needs it! We also found ourselves sniffing the packet and they even encourage it in the stores, where you push on the bottles to smell them.

Olay 2-in-1 facial cloths– I sometimes can’t wait to get home and wash my face and it’s not that I don’t like make-up, but the experience is like washing the day away. I now know I am home and ready to relax. I have been there where mascaras to lip glosses creating stains on white colored towels so these facial cloths actually save my towels. So effective that they even remove my waterproof mascara! It gets better and because this is an Olay product, it’s more than just a “wet nap” for your face. The facial cloths are formulated with pro-vitamin B5, beta-hydroxy and witch hazel. The cleanser not only washes your face effectively in a gentle manner but also tones your skin . I never break out after using the Olay 2-in-1 cloths and it’s because the leave my skin clean! Being that this is an Olay product, the girls were fanatic about it. Everyone wanted to know what Olay item P&G had included so eager that I think they did not appreciate me leaving this one to the end to present.

Always/Tampax Radiant Collection– This item is the end all to having to hide that tampon or pad. I have had those moments when I am hunting for a pen to just have a tampon pop out of my purse. Soooo not pretty! The packet included a purse that allows you to store both tampons and pads neatly. This little purse was created for this purpose so everything fits as it should, brilliant! They also included 1 Always pad, 3 liners and 2 tampons. Orgullosa events really takes care of us and this is one example on why they are so popular. You get introduced to new brands in such a fun way but also take home samples!

Secret Clinical Strength– I have not tried the clinical formulas but we have those stressful days that do not always come from just physical exertion, but just the everyday stuff from traffic, meetings, kids, and even sometimes husbands. I name no names! We were sent the “ooh-la-la lavender” scent, which I appreciate as lavender has calming effects. I now know to sniff my underarms if the need arises :). I tried the solid and was afraid of maybe it being more powerful would mean more drying, and even a little harsher to the delicate skin in that area but I am happy to report it is not. I can describe it as having a double-guarantee. You have extra insurance if needed and if not, you will be fine. With warmer months approaching I also feel better and even safer if I sweat. I’m a girl and armpit odor is bad as it is but we are suppose to smell like flowers 🙂

Crest 3D White- I use(d) a brand that starts with an “A” after trying several brands years ago. I first must admit I am a whitening teeth fanatic. The whiter the better because I drink pomegranate and cranberry juices daily, which is great for my body but not kind to my teeth. I am always in “preventing mode” so I brush my teeth and then rinse with a whitening solution afterwards. I think tooth health is essential not only to how our body is feeling but also in how we look. Put on all the make-up you want but yellow tooth will ruin a look. The box on the crest 3D white states it removes up to 80% of surface stains. I notice no asterisk after but note it says, “Up to”. Okay, let’s put it to the test and I did a week and a half before the Orgullosa event. My results can easily be stated by one phrase, “I dropped the “A” brand for the Crest 3D”. I have noticed on the bottom edges where your teeth meet the gums are whiter and I feel my teeth are cleaner after brushing. The Icy Cool Mint flavor tastes a little like bubblegum but because it works, I just will flashback to my younger years when brushing. Great way to start and end your day 🙂

Covergirl Lashblast Volume Mascara– I am currently a user of this mascara because at my last Orgullosa event, they included it. Having an extra tube of mascara is always a plus and that does not mean I won’t still rave about it either. I love the brush and the wand makes application a cinch. The brush has fine bristles and in large quantities, so you get perfect separation without over-working the lashes. The formula also does not clump heavily while you apply. I always disliked getting the perfect separation of lashes but needing more mascara, that once you apply the right amount, it looks like spider legs because your lashes decided to meet and now you have 5 very thick lashes. Not with this one and I have in error paid big bucks for other brands when all along Covergirl’s Lashblast hung on a peg at my local store. I have learned that paying high prices does not mean high quality in cosmetics. Try this mascara and you will be thankful!
Not done yet……
Orgullosa included a mirror that flips open and stays open. The flip cover allows you to set it where and in the position you want without it falling. I have compacts and they are always propped against a candy dish, tissue box, whatever will hold it but not anymore. Another simple and practical idea that rarely gets used!

We also all received bracelets with the Orgullosa trademark. Flaunt it and it comes with a beautiful quote too. I love the strength they encourage us to have and these small rewards are very appreciated because we all need reminders….it’s what keeps us going.

Included where also coupons to save you money. There were coupon booklets for each guest and not only for all the brands but others they Venus, Oral B, Pampers, Pantene to Charmin. We appreciate these booklets because one thing our group has in common, is making that dollar stretch. We are proud of the savings we acquire all year because they help us provide more for our families.
No party is complete without the food. Guests must be fed as this is a celebration. Orgullosa does not miss a mark and I present to you, the Orgullosa Red Velvet cake with cream cheese frosting! Oh, my!

Celebrating our heritage with Carnitas that we made into mini street tacos tacos. Guests could also make salads as they liked and I had a guest bring black beans and rice.

Can’t have plain tacos, we need salsas and all the trimmings too. A guest made the Molca red sauce from scratch!

Habanero and Serrano Pepper Nachos with Cotija Cheese!

I encourage you to sign-up with Orgullosa because not only could you host parties like I do but there is more to the programs they offer. VocalPoint and Orgullosa have samples, coupons, advice, and even support! It’s one of the best decisions I ever made was to join and I think my guests agree too.

They always say that age can be told by your eyes, so of course I carpet-bomb them in an attempt to fool everyone. Being on the not so glamorous part in my 30’s, I see those fine lines come and go and wanting to set in. I am a huge believer after losing some bank, that what you spend on a product does not equate results. I love Olay! I need to get that out there because they taught me from use and experience, that I can keep some dough in my wallet and still fight the signs of celebrating birthdays. Hey, worrying about spending too much on anti-aging products can be counterproductive!
What does the duo bring to the table:
Eye Cream- Let’s start on ingredients because just like a cake, it all is about what went into it whether it will work for you or not. I use products from the Regenerist line because they always have the right balance of peptide-B3, provitamin B5 and Hyaluronic acid. This means you get moisture to the skin and also aid in renewing your skin cells. You have vitamin E and this is an oldie but goodie in beauty products, so I do believe if you can keep it simple, why not? Vitamin E helps keep your skin soft and supple, plus you get antioxidants from the Green Tea extracts too. Not a bad cream and I have noticed from using this cream before and also in this product, that my skin is softer and more supple. I do not have any sagging but I have seen back into my gene pool, and unfortunately my family can be jowly 🙂 . I have not seen mine change so I give Olay credit for that. The product helps with tone and texture too! I also like seeing aloe make the list because this is another great and simple ingredient that does not irritate but again soothes your skin. To make it short, the Niacinamide along with the antioxidants are the ingredients that make this product have W-O-W power!

Lash Serum- I tried finding what the serum contains chemical wise that would improve, change, or even alter the lashes. I don’t wear contacts but my eyes are always showing the signs of allergies, so they tend to be more sensitive. I watch closely what I put in them to around them because eye health is important for me too. I also want to make sure my fine lines and wrinkles are leaving, not just that my eye sight is and that is why I think I look younger! I found glycerin as an ingredient and they paired it with alcohol, which I assume is to keep things sterile. Not bad, I like clean! Other than these two ingredients, I did not find anything more that was positive or negative about the serum portion.
Directions: Very easy! You just apply once in the day and once at night to see results. The eye cream you just dab on and I was able to use small dots, so this tube will yield many applications. Make sure to target the problem areas like crows-feet and wait for the product to fully absorb before proceeding with your beauty regimen. Many eye creams do not want application on the lids and this is not one of them. You can treat your eye lids, so this is a real eye cream in my opinion! The lash serum has a nice soft brush and you apply a light coat onto lashes. I tend to use two “swapping” motions to get the inside of my lashes and also the end ones.
Results:
I found after 3.5 weeks of use, the eye cream to be easy to apply and supporting the claims made. My eye area improved and that means every fine line and wrinkle I have been fighting has not shown their face! It’s a war and so far I consider this battle won! I experienced no irritation and because the product is fragrance free, no free radicals darting towards me. My skin does feel silky and because the formula dries matte or pretty much the same shine as my skin, no oily slick left behind that not only feels like it weighs you down through out the day but tends to accentuate what you are trying to cover up or get rid of. I am very happy with this eye cream because it is really a formula that Olay has had in the past but it works and much better now with no fragrances. Improving….improving and keeping this luxury affordable. Thank you Olay!
<p>
Now, the lash serum I noticed not much happening to my lashes. Nothing positive to note or negative. I can say the product separates my lashes and dries quickly but that was pretty much it. I even at times had to apply mascara over the serum and it did not interfere with it but it was easier when my lashes were sort of “set” and “separated” by the applicator. Now, the applicator is rubbery and very easy to use. It actually applies the perfect amount of serum and no odd gummy or sticky feeling. If the lash serum was sold separately, I would not seek it out exclusively but because it is there, I used it kind of thing. Now, my eye lash health was normal before but maybe the serum would nourish lashes that may need the extra moisture. Washing agents in face washes can dehydrate your lashes because they over strip but I must share that once in a while I sleep with Olive Oil on my lashes. That so makes up for what my face scrubs/washes, to water-proof mascara can do to them. Sodium peg-7 olive oil carboxylate, is an ingredient found in this duo so maybe I am on to something :). Nonetheless, if I did not do my Olive Oil treatment, then this may have shown results for me.
This product retails for $22.59 at Target and $19.41 on Amazon. Look for coupons before you purchase and don’t forget that Procter & Gamble also has rebates if you spend a certain amount on selective brands.
I received this product free of charge from VocalPoint. I am not obligated to provide a positive/favorable review, just my honest opinion. My review is based on my experience and usage, which may differ from yours.

I saved reviewing this for last because I wanted to know if I could notice a difference, and I have! I have a plethora of anti-aging creams that go hand in hand with the broken promises. I always go back to my RoC because for the price point and results, you can’t beat it. The last few years I have been using RoC Multi-Correxion night treatment and I have been happy. I use it in the day with sunscreen because the cream has no idea it’s daytime and the lack of SPF is what makes it a night cream.

I know there is no genie that will be granting me wishes or a magic potion, but I just want to slow it down (okay, trying to slam on the brakes here) when it comes to those lines that are starting to linger. I have been happy to report that so far the line I have in middle of my eyebrows (that tells on me when I dislike something or worse, someone) has lightened. I have very fine lines around the eyes that mostly come from laughing and because I have dimples, I tend to have come into this world already with creases. I think for a non-surgical option, ProX surpassed my expectations! I did not expect in 3 weeks to notice anything and I have noticed what they advertise, diminishing of wrinkles. I wish they made a magic eraser for faces but until they come up with one, ProX is as close as you can get without visiting a doctor’s office. I like that it dries to a matte finish so it does not interfere with my make-up or for the days I go make-up free. The last thing you want is a greasy mark that highlights the things you are trying to hide. Not one pimple or clogged pore has emerged in the areas I have used the deep wrinkle cream and like I stated, I am going on a little over three weeks here. I have sensitive skin in certain areas and they tend to peel even on the days that are just windy. No peeling and I have noticed that it has taken away problems that I did not even think I needed solutions for, like evening the skin tone. I thought I was even but after using ProX, I obviously needed improvement. You use small dabs and gently treat the areas you are unhappy with. Product comes in a tube so nasty jar collecting germs. I don’t think I even use a pea sized worth, so I also like how a little goes a long way. The best way I can describe what is occurring, is almost like the lines/wrinkles are being flattened out slowly. I know now that I will be using this ProX and it has made my arsenal list of things I throw at my face and actually work!
I have stated before (just scroll down) on why you should join Kred (www.Kred.com) and now they are even keeping me looking younger! It does not cost to join and they have wonderful rewards!
I received the above product free of charge and I have zero obligation in providing a positive/favorable review. My honest opinion is based on my experiences that may differ from yours.
